Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and company name provided during sign-up
  • Usage data — how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken
  • Quote and catalog data — service catalog items, quotes, customer names and email addresses, pricing, and notes you enter into the platform
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and session identifiers

2. How We Use It

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the QuoteWell platform
  • Send transactional emails such as quote delivery confirmations and account notifications
  • Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
  • Improve the product through aggregated usage analytics
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Supabase, a managed PostgreSQL database service hosted in the United States. Authentication and user identity management is handled by Clerk, which also stores user profile data securely. By using QuoteWell, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

4. Third-Party Services

QuoteWell uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Clerk — authentication and user management. Clerk stores your email address and profile information. See Clerk's Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase — database storage for quotes, catalog items, and settings. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery for quote sending and notifications.
  • Capsule CRM — if you connect your Capsule account, we access your Capsule opportunities and contacts via the Capsule API on your behalf. This connection is optional and can be removed at any time in Settings.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription or request account deletion, we will delete your data within 30 days of that request. You may request a data export at any time before deletion. Anonymized or aggregated data that does not identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct — ask us to update inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Export — receive your quote and catalog data in a portable format
  • Delete — request deletion of your account and associated data

7. Cookies

QuoteWell uses cookies solely for authentication purposes. These are session cookies set by Clerk to maintain your logged-in state across page loads. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent you from logging into the platform.
